India Approves US$50M Bypass Road From Ogle To Eccles12/02/2021
The Government of India has approved the new scope of works for the redesigned bypass road project that would link the East Coast of Demerara (ECD) at Ogle to Haags Bosch in Eccles, on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).
Back in 2015, the Indian Government had provided a US$50 million Line of Credit (LOC) for the road link that was initially slated for Ogle to Diamond, EBD. However, the project cost was driven up to over $208 million by the previous APNU/AFC regime and the project was at a standstill since 2019.
Essequibo Businessman Launches US$4M ‘Jagsville’ Gated Community17/11/2020
Promising to take residential housing on the Essequibo Coast to the next level, a popular businessman has launched a US$4M gated community at the Windsor Castle called, ‘Jagsville.’
The project will provide 171 lots ranging from 5,000 sq. ft. to 43,560 sq. ft.
During a sod turning ceremony at the site of the gated community on Wednesday, the proprietor, Tamesh Jagmohan said he acquired the land some time ago but was only granted approval from the Central Housing and Planning Authority on December 10, 2020 to commence the project.LEARN MORE >
